System architecture
Opus’ proven decentralised architecture utilises balanced audio over proprietary BTC2 cable to distribute audio throughout the home. Audio is amplified locally via Opus digital zone modules (DZM) which also support the zone touchscreen, subzone and local input options. Loss of signal integrity and volume associated with long speaker cable runs is completely eliminated meaning the user can enjoy sonically superb audio reproduction, without compromise.
Master control unit MCU610
Featuring 14 source inputs, comprising of five standard inputs, six zone by zone configurable inputs and three integral audio card expansion slots with distribution to six main and six sub-zones (expandable), the MCU610 is a truly class-leading entertainment and `control hub.
HD video matrix VMX610
The VMX610 serves up to eight zones with HDMI video output and supports 1080p HD video to suitably enabled TVs whilst also duplicating that video on corresponding Opus touchscreens. The VMX610 is designed for ultra-fast and reliable switching with Virtual Handshake technology eliminating signal dropouts normally associated with multiple sources, displays and users.
Touchscreens

The Opus 6 Series in-wall colour 3.5" and 5.7" touchscreens are the gateway to the complete smart home, controlling not just Opus products, but a whole range of sources such as satellite / cable set-top boxes and media servers plus integration with third party lighting, HVAC and access control systems.
Extended control
The Opus interface offers an intuitive control experience from the Opus touchscreens, with extended control via iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Interfaces can be customised, using the Opus configuration software, tailoring individual systems to user preferences.
