Palm Island Jumeirah’s first resident gets iPhone control upgrade for Opus multi-room entertainment system

Opus Technologies, the Gulf’s leading multi-room entertainment and control provider, has supplied the first resident on Nakheel’s Palm Island Jumeirah development, Andy Dukes, with a major upgrade to his Opus multi-room entertainment system. As well as incorporating Opus’ new touchscreens, the latest Opus system benefits from armchair control using an iPhone or iPod touch.

Opus cabling has been installed into the fabric of every one of Nakheel’s 1,386 prestigious Signature Villas, Garden Villas and Canal Cove Townhouses on the Palm Island Jumeirah development. The cabling or ‘pre-wire’ of this large-scale development facilitates residents the option of having an Opus multi-room entertainment system installed at any time, without the disruption and costs normally associated with running cables and other infrastructure retrospectively.

An Opus multi-room system provides the ultimate in luxurious whole-house entertainment and control which is non-intrusive and virtually discreet. Typically, the only visible evidence of this system are the flush-mounted in-ceiling speakers, the on-wall touchscreens and stylish remote control. Opus’ iPhone/iPod touch control offers users full system control from the palm of their hand, in any Opus equipped room and replicates the intuitive interface of the touchscreen.
