James Meredith joins the Opus team
July 2010
Opus Technologies is pleased to announce James Meredith has joined the team in the role of international technical sales, as part of Opus’ ambitious growth plans. James’ position will be key in facilitating an efficient global launch of the Opus 6 Series to new and existing markets.
James, who reports to Opus’ business unit director David Vukovich, brings a wealth of experience from the custom installation industry having spent six years at Imerge, where his responsibilities included integration of third party control and developing international training programmes.
The new Opus 6 Series, due for launch late 2010, is a flexible multi-room audio and video entertainment system, providing support for the latest media sources, HD video distribution and integration of third party technologies such as lighting, HVAC, windows/blinds and CCTV for a true smart home solution. Furthermore, the system’s intuitive interface can be replicated across Opus touchscreens, iPhone/iPod touch and Pronto for an effortless control experience.
David Vukovich said “James has joined Opus on the eve of the launch of an exciting all-new system, it’s imperative our international distributors enjoy a smooth transition between the existing 500 system and the new Opus 6 Series. HD video and streaming technologies will be key components of the Opus 6 Series, James’ considerable knowledge and enthusiasm will assist us to fully realise the potential of these significant areas of product development.”
James added “The new Opus 6 Series is a truly class-leading proposition, naturally I’m thrilled about the challenge of managing a successful international rollout of the new system and drawing on my experience to create networked video training systems to support Opus’ industry leading trade partner package.”
