Meanwhile rich, hi-fi quality sound comes courtesy of virtually invisible in-ceiling speakers or revolutionary speakers hidden within your home's walls.
Opus cables contained within your walls and ceilings broadcast such razor sharp images and stunning sound to each room.
And a tried and trusted Opus design ensures simple installation and interference free reliable signal transfer. Up to 5 music or home cinema sources (any make) can be connected and then controlled by our intuitive touchscreen keypads and ergonomic remotes. Various options and accessories are available for every home.
The Opus 300 system is a much simpler, yet highly intuitive system for multi-room projects in any home. Like the Opus 500 system, it's operated using discreet wall-mounted keypads and remotes which along with in-ceiling speakers are the only visible clues to its presence!
The ingenuity of Opus 300 is its simplicity. Based on commonly available network (Cat5) and coaxial cabling Opus 300 delivers audio and video throughout the home from a central hub. The Control hub - essentially the heart of your multi-room system is usually located in a service cupboard but is so small that it can also be mounted behind a hi-fi system enabling existing source components to be shared across the home. In such an installation, the traditional hi-fi or home cinema experience can be retained for the main zone - simply
the best of both worlds!

Control Units
With Opus, there are no ugly boxes of electronics or cables to clutter your home. Instead, the hub – essentially the heart of your multi-room system – is hidden out of view, normally in a service cupboard. This is joined by a host of products known as source equipment. These include music and video servers, tuners and other music and video sources which you will be able to fully access from keypads in remotes in each room.
Keypad and Remote Controls
Key to the sophisticated elegance and simplicity of Opus is the stunning new touchscreen control panel. Offering full control of your Opus system this incredible interface will blow you and your friends away thanks to its highly tactile, simple to operate and easy to read touchscreen display.
We also offer a range of easy to use yet highly attractive traditional keypads. Like the touchscreen these offer full control over your Opus system and a number of custom fitments are available to enable lighting and curtain/blind controls to be contained within the same neat unit.
Opus offers two dedicated remote controls – perfect for operating your multi-room system from the comfort of your armchair and when relaxing in bed.
As well as our own beautifully weighted designer aluminium handset and intuitive learning touchscreen remote, Opus also recommends a number of third-party colour touchscreen remotes. These are particularly adept at controlling sophisticated source equipment such as video servers and for centralising control of CCTV and ambient lighting.
Amplifiers
With long cable runs commonplace in many installations, the role of high quality locally mounted amplifiers is paramount. Fortunately Opus is at hand with two purposeful yet compact amplifiers which are designed to be mounted within ceiling voids for ultimate discretion. Whatever the location, you can count on Opus for utterly reliable and easy to install amplifiers.
The DZM100 is suitable for the most demanding applications and provides an impressive 100 watts per channel. The high efficiency digital power output stage generates extremely low levels of heat, making it ideal for confined spaces such as ceiling voids.
Developed as the perfect partner for either the Opus OS165CC or OP265CC in-ceiling speakers, the DZM20 is the perfect zone amplifier for locations where background music is required such as dining rooms and kitchens. Its extremely compact dimensions make it particularly ideal for confined spaces such as ceiling voids and its efficient design with a power feed down the BTC1 cable from the MCU means it doesn’t require local power making the perfect choice when a mains power feed isn’t readily available.
